Kampong Thom Province: From October 13 to 17, 2026, the crop technical team of the LASED III project conducted Farmer Field School (FFS) training sessions on cashew and vegetable production for local farmers in:
- Koul Commune, Prasat Sambour District, Kampong Thom Province
- Tum Ring Commune, Sandan District, Kampong Thom Province
The team shared key knowledge on:
- Seed and variety selection
- Land preparation
- Pruning techniques
- Shoot grafting / budding
- Fertilizer application and liquid fertilizer production
The sessions also included practical field demonstrations.
The Farmer Field School activities were joined by officials from the Kampong Thom Provincial Department of Agriculture, Forestry, and Fisheries, along with local farmers, totaling:
- Koul Commune: 100 participants (57 women)
- Tum Ring Commune: 100 participants (62 women)
